BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely continue to move Northeastwards during next 24 hours and weaken gradually. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th February 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
