BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over South Bay still persists. It is likely to move Northeastwards during next 24 hours and weaken gradually. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 24^th February 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin, Northern Shan States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
