SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and isolated in Kayin, Mon States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C above February average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Kayin State, 3°C to 4°C above February average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Magway Regions and Kayah, Mon States, 5°C to 6°C above February average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region and Eastern Shan State and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 4.0°C in Hakha, 8.0°C each in Tiddim and Lashio, 8.5°C in Heho, 9.3°C in Hsipaw, 9.5°C in Mongyang, 10.0°C in Loilin, 10.3°C in Putao, 10.5°C in Mohnyin, 10.8°C in Pyinoolwin and 11.7°C in Namsan(Southern Shan).
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely continue to move eastwards during next 24 hours and weaken gradually. Weather is a few cloud over North Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th February 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin, Northern Shan States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
