BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the well marked low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely continue to move West-Northwest during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 23rd February 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan States, scattered in Yangon, Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, , Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States.
